How long have you been married?

1 month and a half

What is your love story?

While. helping out a friend on his music project the summer of 2015, I met the talented and passionate producer who is my now husband. It wasn't until AFTER the fact that he expressed how terrible `of a singer I was lol but my vibrant energy & willingness to serve made up for it all apparently. After we wrapped up the album Jason asked for my assistance with the different events & shows he had coming up, which turned into me also being a stylist for him amongst other things. It wasn't until about 3-4 months of building the friendship that he wanted to get more serious and the rest was history! 3 years and 2 babies later we decided to elope in the beautiful mountains of Colorado late October 2018.

How did you know your husband was the one?

I knew he was the one when I kept getting constant deja vu when we were together that NEVER happened before with anyone else. I also knew he was the one by his passion for selflessly wanting me to see and become the best version of myself and whatever that was supposed to look like.I had a tendency to choose the "bad guys" in my past and looking right past the good ones so when he came along he allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and challenge myself to face the insecurities I had head on and embrace that I was worthy of love and a healthy relationship.

What was the best part about your wedding day?

Doing things OUR WAY! We are a very non traditional pair so for me a big wedding was never my cup of tea so having the intimacy of the elopement was the best thing I could have asked for. There was such a sense of serenity about being on a mountain top with the love of my life & not sacrificing what we wanted for the happiness of others. I found my wedding outfit at the thrift store in less than 20 minutes for less than $20 and most importantly we didn't pay a DIME for anything so that already put us ahead of the game of not going into the union with this big burden of debt over our head which made it worth it all in the end.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share to a newlywed?

When you both are taking life too serious..LAUGH! I can get flustered over things and it effects the entire household when I do so my husband makes it his mission to make me laugh because when I do that alleviates all of the tension within and I'm able to interact like a normal human being again which is fair to me, my family and my home.

What is one or two pre-marriage tips or scriptures you would give a bride?

Communication is MAJOR key & just because a happy healthy relationship wasn't modeled to you growing up doesn't mean that you aren't deserving of it and that its unattainable.

What does living a life Faith + Fulfillment mean to you?

giving a life of Faith & Fulfillment to me means knowing that you can have any and everything you deserve in this lifetime. From a personal, physical, spiritual and financial standpoint to not only enrich your life but also the lives of others. Our gifts, talents and experiences are never solely for us but through them we have the ultimate power to add value to those around us who may need that wisdom.

Complete the sentence: Love is______.

Love is growth, understanding, freedom, passion, selflessness, sacrifice and determination to honor and support the one that you chose to come into union with for eternity.
