How long have you been married?

What is your love story?

Michael and met in college. I was a freshman and he was a senior so naturally that relationship was short lived! But we always maintained contact and dated off and on over the next few years. Our relationship was long distance so it was really tough at times, but we just couldn’t leave each other alone.

How did you know your husband was the one?

I don’t really know how to answer that other than I know I chose him. In truth, I could’ve chosen to date and be single, but I admired his passion and charisma for life. I just claimed him! Haha!

What was the best part about your wedding day?

The best part of my wedding day was truly just celebrating with both of our sides of the family and all of our friends. This was the first time everyone could be in the same place just having a good time in the name of love. We definitely felt all the love.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share to a newlywed?

I learned more about myself and my husband in our first year of marriage. Communicating, even when it seems uncomfortable is so important. It’s important to talk about expectations. Sometimes tension arises when we have unmet expectations that we haven’t even talked about! So, listen, be patient and forgiving.

What is one or two pre-marriage tips or scriptures you would give a bride?

1. Remember that you have value, not because of your titles (wife, friend, sister, employee, CEO, student), but because God said so before you were even born! 2. Proverbs 31:10- She is worth far more than rubies

What does living a life Faith + Fulfillment mean to you?

I’ve learned that faith is truly about trusting God. It means seeking Him and praying, so that whatever it is your heart desires, whatever it is you want to give to this world, He will order your steps.
