How long have you been married?

1 month 15 days

What is your love story?

My husband and I met at the University of South Carolina. He was pursuing a second degree and I was pursuing my first. He had some additional classes to take and we met in our Economics Teachers Assistant class held on Friday mornings. I remember making eye contact when he walked in the first day we saw each other and he sat by me. I didn't want to talk, it was early and a Friday at that LOL! But we introduced ourselves, next thing I know we become study partners (we are both nerds) and eventually best friends. We honestly built a wonderful friendship for a whole year, then we began to date and the rest is history. He is literally my best friend.

How did you know your husband was the one?

I knew Larry was the one because I could talk to him about anything. I was so comfortable with him and I suffered from a lot of insecurities which made me uncomfortable around men, but with him it was different. I could be myself.

What was the best part about your wedding day?

The best part of our wedding day would be me walking down the aisle and seeing my husband's face wet with tears. I know I have a man who loves me beyond the surface. It's deep. We can't live without each other.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share to a newlywed?

One piece of advice I would like to share with a newlywed is to keep God first and have fun. Don't make marriage different. For my husband and I, we don't feel like anything has changed because we have always been honest with one another, supportive, spiritual and simply us. Yes, you now have different titles and are one unit, but continue to be yourselves and the rest falls into place. We truly have God as the head of our lives and pray for him to guide us in everything, everyday.

What is one or two pre-marriage tips or scriptures you would give a bride?

Marriage Tip- Have fun with your husband!
Scripture- "Be anxious about nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."-Philippians 4:6

What does living a life Faith + Fulfillment mean to you?

Living a life Faith + Fulfillment means praying with your husband. When two pray together it's powerful. God wants you to pray for your husband, pray for your spouse. Pray for him to be used by the holy spirit and to be a great husband in all ways. Praying over your home, your family! Also it means living a life of purpose together. What is it that you all are passionate about and understanding God's purpose for your life and living it!
